Every year I along with my group of friends decide to visit a place that is lesser known and is close to nature for vacations. We have enjoyed several awesome destinations so far. This year we decided to visit Alaska. We had heard a lot about Alaskan way of life. As soon as we decided to visit this place, we started looking for inexpensive flight tickets. Since we are bachelors and recently started with our jobs, we were looking for cheap flight tickets. We came to know that these days, several scheduled airlines operate to this destination. Soon, we booked our seats on one of the many flights to Alaska like Alaska Airlines.
Before starting our journey, as was the custom, we accumulated a lot of information about the place lest we are not taken by surprise. Soon the day came when we reached this beautiful place. We knew that as far as area is concerned, this place is considered to be the largest in the US. The place has gained a lot of popularity because of its natural charm and wilderness. The arctic areas in the place were also a major attraction for us. The day we reached, we decided to stay back in hotel and rest for the day. Next day, early in the morning our guide was there to take us through the attractions of the city. He was quite friendly and had an encyclopedic memory. Besides telling us about the popular attractions, he kept on telling us about several things that gave us a general idea about the place. He spoke about politics, history, culture and many other aspects about this place. Besides us, there was many other people part of this tour. Tourists come to this place in large numbers as it is a popular tourist destination and several cheap flights to Alaska are available these days.
Availability of cheap tickets to Alaska has ensured growth in tourism industry in this destination. Our first halt was at Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum. We were impressed to see this museum in Anchorage where a lot of exhibits related to aviation heritage of the place are on display. Next we visited the famous Alaska Zoo. A wide spectrum of birds and animals has found a home here. Some exotic creatures can also be seen. Children of our group thoroughly enjoyed this place.
Our next stop was at H2Oasis. This is a famous water park. Since it is indoor water park, it was fun enjoying a variety of water rides. There was a wave pool and a 150 foot slide. It was a thrilling experience for all of us. We also visited Juneau Trolley Car Company and Mount Robert Tramway. Both were enjoyable. Soon our trip came to an end and the day came when we had to return to our homeland. We enjoyed this trip immensely.
