Cape Town - The Mother City

The city of Cape Town was named as the World Design Capital for 2014. It truly deserved this title. Cape Town is a glistening city located near the Cape of Good Hope. It is renowned for its perfect year round climate, scenic backdrop and fabulous infrastructure.

The city attracts tourist not only for sight-seeing but also for its cultural attractions and architectural heritage. It has gorgeous beaches spread over vast areas of land. The beaches are lined with many restaurants and pubs. For many visitors here, night is the beginning.

Cape Town International Airport is the main international airport which has global connectivity. Many reputed airline like British Airways, Turkish Airlines, Air France, Jet Airways offer cheap flight deals and air flights at great discounts. Cheap flights to Cape Town can also be availed online.

There are some great museums and galleries to explore. The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens stuns and dazzles its visitors with its collection of animals, flowers and plants. Being a tourist spot it also has restaurants and souvenir shops. The flowers are seasonal and visitors can find different species in bloom throughout the year.

The beaches offer myriad of activities. Swimming, kayaking, surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving are just some of activities they indulge in. Visitors also get a thrilling time watching whales and dolphins from the towns of False Bay and Hermanus.

Wine tasting is a unique offering of Cape Town. The city has plenty of vineyards and produces some of the best wines of the world. Visitors can use the tour companies which take care of all your needs.

As interesting are the offerings, equally interesting is the food in Cape Town. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront have numerous restaurants. Food served is exotic and innovative. Chefs use local ingredients and are experts in African, Italian, Indian and other Asian cuisine. African Cafe is famous for continental dishes. The place is usually crowded and bookings are a must. Food is undoubtedly the best and service is personal.
