Houston : An Inspired Cosmopolitan Destination

Houston is a city located in the United States of America and is the fourth most populous in the country. The city is renowned as a distinct travel destination that houses amazing architecture and sky-rising building. The city was founded in the year 1836 and today, it is rated as a global city drawing more than seven million visitors each year just to explore its complex Museum District.

The city is home to many cultural institutions and exhibits as well as carries an active performing and visual art scene in the Theatre District.


Climate
Houston features humid subtropical climate with over 32 degree Celsius is recorded during summers and winter goes to 17 degree Celsius on average. The city also receives abundant rainfall each year with average being around 50 inches.

Top Houston attractions

Space Center Houston – it is NASA’ s official center for visitors. It houses space artifacts and hardware including Lunar Module Test Article 8, Apollo 17, Gemini 5 capsule, Mercury 9 capsule, and Saturn V.

Downtown Aquarium –It is a public aquarium and restaurant that was developed from two Houston landmarks. The complex of this amazing attraction is known as the multi-functional destination that houses Ferris wheel, a white tiger exhibit Shark Voyage, and aquatic carousel. It is a 500,000 gallon of aquarium complex.

Houston Museum of Natural Science – This museum boasts a wide collection of Natural Science and was built in the year 1909. The complex of this museum includes 4-floor halls where all natural science collections can be found. These floors also include exhibits in its central facility. Also houses the theater logo of Wortham IMAX.

Houston Zoo –It is a 55-acre zoological park that houses more than 6000 animals of 900 different species. This zoo welcomes around 1.6 million visitors each year and is recorded as the 7th most visited zoo in the U.S.

Kemah Boardwalk –It is a hotel and restaurant destination located in Kemah and is a 42-acre complex opened in the year 1997. It houses many restaurants that overlook the Galveston Bay, making it more alluring due to surrounding nature. It is also a site where a range of activities is taken up including shopping and midway games. There is also a miniature train that passes over to the entire area.


The Children’s Museum of Houston –It is a children’s museum located in the Museum District. It is one of the 190 children’s museums in the U.S. and 15 in Texas. It remains open six days a week. Monday closed and Thursdays remain open from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Museum of Fine Arts, Houston –Located in Museum District, the Museum of Fine Arts is one of the largest museums in the U.S. that had generated revenue of 131.1 billion USD in 2011. This attraction remains open six days a week with Monday closed and Thursday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
