Boston Where American Revolution Happened

Business trips are always boring and at the same time it mounts a lot of tensions on you too. If we cannot achieve the target fixed by the company, the entire tour will be regarded as a sheer waste of money and a negative mark has fallen on you. Though you are visiting a new place which you have not visited so far, you may not be able to see the place properly as you will have to engage your entire time in business meetings and negotiations. The worry about completing the assignment will certainly prevent you from enjoying the tour. Still, the tour to some places will always make you more enthusiastic with its rich cultural heritage and historical importance. Boston is one such place.

I have visited this city for more than one time and I never felt boring here. The thought that most of the important events of American Revolution took place here, always makes me enthusiastic. Various events like Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party etc have been held here in this city. Several early battles of the revolution have also happened here such as Siege of Boston and Battle of Bunker Hill.

When I got intimation from my headquarters to visit Boston on an official mission, I did not waste any time. I started my search for cheap airline ticket and the exercise for getting maximum airline discount. Being an important business center and a tourist spot, major airlines are operating flights to Boston. Several other regional airlines like Air Jamaica and Hawaiian Airlines are also operating in this area. Anyway, I was lucky enough to get a ticket in one of the cheap flights to Boston and I reached there as planned.

As I mentioned earlier, the schedule was hectic. Still I got time in between to visit many places. Most of the places are monuments related to the American Revolution. The old state house where the Boston Tea Party occurred still attracts many tourists. Boston has a good track record in arts and culture too. There are several opera houses and other venues for performing arts. Most of the people I have seen there were students. Boston has become an educational hub with the presence of quite a good number of universities and educational institutes. Several foreign students are also coming here to pursue the course of their choice. The cheap tickets to Boston introduced by many airlines have come as a blessing for them.

There are several annual events being conducted in Boston which attracts a large number of visitors here. The First Night, which has been conducted on the New Year Eve, is one such event. Boston Arts Festival at Christopher Columbus Park and the Italian Summer Feasts etc are also attracting a good number of visitors.

This time also my visit has been limited to the monuments of revolution and to some cultural centers. I feel that I could not see most of the city this time too. That is common when you are on a business trip. Hence I decided to visit the city purely on a personal visit next time.
