The rich culture of Cabo San Lucas attracts visitors

As soon as our exams finished, we started badgering our parents for a holiday. This annual holiday is like a much awaited event in our lives. We wait for the whole year for this holiday as we are able to forget all our tensions related to studies, exams, competitions and projects for a while. The whole family enjoys a quality time with each other without any distractions. And to add to the fun, the selection of a destination is a high point as everyone suggests their places and one of them is chosen by lottery. Anticipation is at its high and we all wait, where to this time? As it happened, this time my sister got lucky and her choice of destination was chosen- Cabo San Lucas. I am more into nature and attractions but she, the studious one is interested in knowing about the history and the culture of the place. Once the destination was decided, my father started preparations. There are several flights to Cabo San Lucas like Aer Mexico, Air Canada and many more. In fact, cheapest airline also offer their services to this new and upcoming sector. We were really excited to see our plans materialize. Since this year we were a bit late in making bookings, we were bit apprehensive. But then our travel agent told about last minute flights to this marvelous place and we heaved a sigh of relief.

My sister started reading about this place and its culture. Every evening she had something to share with us that fueled our curiosity a notch higher. She told us about Los Cabos Amber Gallery that offers jewelry and other artifacts made up of Amber which was 20-25 million years old. The material is 100% natural untreated Amber. My mother decided to visit this gallery for sure. In the art district of the old town, this gallery is located in the downtown area of the city. Visiting this gallery would also offer us an opportunity to see the old section of the city and coming close to the real character of the city.

The research also told us that there is a unique tri-level art gallery Galeria de Ida Victoria which is in itself a work of art. Its spectacular design, lighting systems creates an aura. Small work of arts and sculptures are on display that also offers a peek into the culture of the city. Many artists have exhibited their works here and the unique structure of the building adds more grace to their work.

We also came to know that Mexican Pottery is also very famous in the city and visitors coming from faraway places take these pottery items with them as souvenirs. These hand painted and hand crafted items are a big hit among visitors. All this information piqued my interest. Though I am not such a big fan of culture but all this information certainly made me curious. We came to know that this city is served by several cheap flights to Cabo San Lucas offering cheap tickets to Cabo San Lucas. We decided to book our tickets on one of them. Soon the day came when we had to leave for this city!
