The city of seven islands

India is a fast growing economic power in the world and it has the largest consumer market in the world. That is why most of the leading brands in the world have a strong presence there. After the induction of the policy of liberalization, more and more international business organizations are extending their operations to India too. I had to visit India as a part of our expansion activity and our company entrusted me with the responsibility of opening a branch there. Mumbai, the city constituted with seven islands was the natural choice for starting a branch. Mumbai is the financial capital of India and is well connected with the rest of the world. All major airlines are operating flights to Mumbai like Jet Airways. Hence I tried to get flight tickets for a cheaper price. I have approached all agents who are offering best airline tickets and finally traveled in one of the cheap flights to Mumbai.

Though Mumbai is known as a destination for business tours, it has a lot of places to be visited. The evening in the Juhu Beach is a quite memorable experience. The beach will be crowded in the evenings. The beautiful site of sunset in the Arabian Sea is something worth watching. People are coming alone and in groups to watch this scene. They will also engage in different types of recreational activities also. This is a safe place for enjoying sea bath.

There are several structures which displays the rich architecture of the city in particular and India in general. Mumba Devi temple is one such structure. The city derived its name from this Hindu Goddess. Chathrapathi Shivaji Terminal and the building of Mumbai University are other examples of architecture. Many such structures have turned to hotels also. The stay over there will certainly take you to centuries back.

Various museums are here in this city which depicts the history and culture of the city and the nation. The rich history of various invasions and the fights and battles to reign in power is revealed in such museums.
Mumbai’s culture is including different festivals, cinema and many others. Deepawali, the festival of lights and all other Hindu religious festivals are celebrated here with great enthusiasm. Christmas and New Year eve are also being celebrated with same vigor here. However, the Ganesh festival is being considered as the widely celebrated festival here. It is a ten days festival when the huge idols of Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed God will kept at various places. These decorated temporary sheds will be well crowded in the evenings and mornings. On the eleventh day, these idols will be taken out in a procession and will immerse in the sea. This procession is the most important and attractive part of the festival. Many people are visiting this city from all over the world during this festival season. By the introduction of cheap flights to Mumbai, the number of visitors who are coming to participate in Ganesh Festival has been increased in the last few years.
